Chemomab Therapeutics Ltd. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of therapeutics for fibrotic and inflammatory diseases with high unmet needs. Its lead clinical product candidate, nebokitug, is a first-in-class humanized monoclonal antibody designed to bind and block CCL24, a soluble protein that promotes fibrosis and inflammation through the CCR3 receptor. The company is developing nebokitug for rare orphan diseases with no established disease-modifying treatments, including primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and systemic sclerosis (SSc). It estimates approximately 70,000 patients with PSC in the United States, European Union and Japan, representing a more than $1 billion market opportunity, and approximately 170,000 patients with SSc in those markets, representing a more than $1.5 billion market opportunity. Chemomab has completed a Phase 2 clinical study of nebokitug in PSC, a rare obstructive and cholestatic liver disease. After an End-of-Phase 2 meeting with the FDA in December, 2024, the company and the FDA agreed on the design of a single Phase 3 pivotal PSC trial that could result in full regulatory approval.
