BridgeBio has a marketed drug and three FDA dates in seven months
BridgeBio has moved from a development story to a commercial one, with Attruby sales at $222.4 million in the second quarter and three Priority Review decisions between November and May. The scientific risk is lower than at most rare-disease companies of its size. The open questions are whether it can run several launches at once and whether real-world data can move cardiologists off tafamidis.

- Technology
- Validated in the clinic. Four oral small molecules aimed at the genetic driver of each disease, with one drug already on the market.
- Odds
- Favorable on paper. Three Priority Review filings, and base rates put approval of filed applications at 90.6%, or 93.6% in rare disease.
- Balance sheet
- Funded but not cheap. $720.2 million at June 30 plus a preferred raise with a 7% dividend and a $137.79 conversion price.
- Main risk
- Execution across launches. Up to three launches after FDA decisions between November and May, and a head-to-head claim against tafamidis that rests on observational data.
- Watch next
- Nov 27, 2026. The FDA action date for BBP-418, followed by the Q3 Attruby sales figure.

BridgeBio's science claims run ahead of the records: interim data, exploratory cardiac signals and an observational 'superiority' case
BridgeBio's numbers match its 10-Q, and the filing shows no material legal proceedings. The gaps are in how far the releases lean on the evidence. The BBP-418 win is a 12-month interim, while the registry's primary endpoint sits at 36 months, the cardiac headline is exploratory, and 'clinical superiority' over tafamidis rests on retrospective data. The preferred financing, called $1 billion in the release, sold $933.9 million at closing with a right for up to $66.1 million more, carries a 7% accruing dividend and ranks ahead of common stock.

'$1 billion' of preferred equity: $933.9 million sold at closing, senior to common, with a rising dividend
The company said: "closed $1 billion in preferred equity led by Sixth Street with participation from HealthCare Royalty, an affiliate of KKR." source
The record says: The 10-Q says buyers paid "an aggregate purchase price of $ 933.9 million". The preferred stock "ranks senior to the Common Stock" and accrues dividends "at a rate of 7.00 % per annum", payable in cash or by adding to the balance, with a step-up "up to a dividend rate cap of 17.00 % per annum". It also says "The HCR Purchaser is an entity affiliated with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. , a related party ." A Form 8-K filed July 2, 2026 adds that the purchasers bought 933,900 shares and that the Sixth Street purchaser has a right, subject to board approval, to provide "additional capital in an amount up to $66,100,000". A Form 8-K filed July 2, 2026 adds that the purchasers bought 933,900 shares and that the Sixth Street purchaser has a right, subject to board approval, to provide "additional capital in an amount up to $66,100,000". A Form 8-K filed July 2, 2026 adds that the purchasers bought 933,900 shares and that the Sixth Street purchaser has a right, subject to board approval, to provide "additional capital in an amount up to $66,100,000". source
Our view: The July 2 8-K shows the $1 billion figure is $933.9 million sold at closing plus a right for Sixth Street to provide up to $66.1 million more, subject to board approval. The release does not mention the dividend, seniority or step-ups. Those terms are a real claim on future cash and on common-holder value, which matters when the release says the balance sheet is sized to run all three launches.

BBP-418 'met all primary endpoints' at a 12-month interim; the registry's primary is at 36 months
The company said: "FORTIFY, the Phase 3 clinical trial of BBP-418, successfully met all pre-specified primary and secondary endpoints of its 12-month interim analysis, supporting its potential as a disease-modifying therapy." source
The record says: ClinicalTrials.gov lists the efficacy primary outcome as "Change from baseline in North Star Assessment for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy following 36 months of treatment", with an estimated primary completion of September 2027. The study is randomized 2:1 and quadruple-masked with 112 participants. The 10-Q warns that "favorable data from interim analysis do not ensure the final results of a trial will be favorable." source
Our view: The interim looks strong, and the FDA gave priority review. But 'disease-modifying' is the company's reading of a 12-month interim in a trial built to read out at 36 months, and the registry record fetched today still lists the 36-month timepoint.

The cardiac 'restored to unaffected levels' headline is exploratory
The company said: "BBP-418 Demonstrates Potential to Be Disease Modifying Therapy, Restoring Cardiac and Disease Markers to Unaffected Levels" source
The record says: The October 5 release presents troponin I and LVEF results from the 12-month FORTIFY interim as exploratory, and its risk list describes the analyses as "non-alpha-controlled" with small sample sizes. The fetched page reports troponin normalization in 100% of treated participants who started elevated, versus 40% on placebo. source
Our view: Percentages from small subgroups with no multiplicity control can move a lot with a few patients. The headline reads as established benefit while the fine print says hypothesis-generating.
Science · weight medium
'Clinical superiority' over tafamidis rests on retrospective data without a statistically significant mortality difference
The company said: "we are confident Attruby will consistently demonstrate clinical superiority over tafamidis" source
The record says: The October 11 release describes a retrospective, observational analysis of electronic health records, and states "the possibility of residual confounding cannot be fully excluded." Its table gives the hazard ratio for death as 0.85 (95% CI 0.62 to 1.20; p=0.34), not statistically significant. The full results were under peer review. source
Our view: Matched real-world data can generate a hypothesis but cannot settle superiority; no randomized head-to-head trial is cited. The significant results were for hospitalizations and diuretic intensification; death and new atrial fibrillation were not significant.
Legal and disclosure record · weight low
No material legal proceedings disclosed
The record says: "As of the date of this Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q, we were not party to any material legal proceedings." The risk factors add: "We have in the past been and could be subject to securities class action litigation and other types of stockholder litigation." source
Our view: No securities litigation or enforcement is disclosed in the latest filing. The risk-factor sentence is general and describes the past, with no case named.
