UCB's BIMZELX is carrying the company, and net cash has turned to net debt after two deals

UCB is growing quickly on BIMZELX and has raised its 2026 guidance twice, with profit and margins expanding. It moved from net cash to net debt in a half that included two June acquisitions, and part of the latest upgrade rests on U.S. net pricing and channel mix. Pipeline readouts and the February results are the next tests.

Opinion only. The Investor Rank is aibio.space's opinion of the company's business position, drawn from the public sources on this page. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security and it is not investment advice. It does not consider the share price, valuation or your circumstances, and it can change at any time. Payments from companies never affect it. How the rank works.

Technology
Proven and broadening. Bimekizumab has won four head-to-head trials in psoriatic disease, and the pipeline now spans T-cell engagers, cell therapy and anti-tau antibodies.
Odds
Mixed by program. Bimekizumab is established, while bepranemab missed its proof-of-concept endpoint and dapirolizumab met its primary endpoint but not its first ranked secondary.
Balance sheet
Newly leveraged, still profitable. Net financial debt was EUR 2,821 million at June 30 against net cash of EUR 7 million at year-end, with first-half profit of EUR 1,111 million.
Main risk
Pricing and concentration. BIMZELX was about 37% of first-half net sales, and U.S. net pricing helped drive the latest guidance upgrade.
Watch next
Pipeline readouts. The first STACCATO alprazolam phase 3 topline is expected between Q4 2026 and H1 2027, and full-year results arrive February 25, 2027.
