Satellos Bioscience Inc. reported its 2025 results on March 27, 2026 and said it closed an equity offering of common shares and pre-funded warrants on February 9, 2026 for gross proceeds of US$57.2 million. Its common shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Market as MSLE on February 6, 2026, and they remain listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange as MSCL. The release names no underwriter, placement agent or counsel for the offering. The annual report on Form 40-F lists 15,458,903 common shares outstanding at the end of 2025.

Cash and the loss

Cash and short-term investments totaled $27.7 million at December 31, 2025, down from $48.5 million a year earlier. The company says the decline reflects cash used to fund operations, particularly clinical trial costs. The annual report splits that balance into $9.8 million of cash and cash equivalents and $17.9 million of short-term investments, and shows cash used in operations of $23.6 million in 2025, against $18.3 million in 2024. The $57.2 million of gross proceeds came after year-end.

The 2025 net loss was $24.9 million, or $1.70 per share, against $20.6 million, or $2.16 per share, in 2024. The loss per share fell while the total loss rose, and the release does not explain the change in share count. Research and development expense rose to $18.4 million from $14.4 million, mainly from starting a Phase 2 trial. General and administrative expense rose to $8.0 million from $6.0 million, on headcount and professional fees. The company expects its cash runway to extend through 2027.

BASECAMP, the placebo-controlled trial

SAT-3247 is an oral small-molecule tablet that Satellos is developing for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). The company's BASECAMP study, labeled CL-201, is a global, randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 2 trial in 51 ambulatory children aged 7 to under 10, treated over three months. The first participant was dosed on February 12, 2026. The release expects enrollment to complete in the third quarter of 2026 and top-line data in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The release says it presented validation of its Regenerative Index biomarker. In BASECAMP that biomarker is only an exploratory endpoint.

TRAILHEAD, a four-patient open-label look

TRAILHEAD, labeled LT-001, is a 12-month open-label Phase 2 study in adults. Four patients from the 28-day Phase 1b CL-101 study re-enrolled for up to an additional 11 months of treatment. They were re-dosed in the fourth quarter of 2025 after gaps of 205 to 328 days since their CL-101 treatment ended.

The interim observations are small. Handgrip strength that had stabilized or risen in CL-101 was maintained or improved in TRAILHEAD, over an aggregate period of 9 to 13 months across the four patients. Added assessments of larger muscle groups showed overall stability with preliminary indications of improvement in elbow and shoulder strength. Greater improvements appeared in patients with higher muscle mass at baseline, measured by creatinine. Forced vital capacity, or FVC, was stable to greater in three of the four patients through day 56, but one patient showed what the release calls a meaningful and unexplained decline that did not match the other tests.

The study is open-label, so it has no placebo group. The subgroup observation rests on four patients. The company plans to enroll more participants in Australia and to open TRAILHEAD in the United States, aiming for up to 30 people with DMD aged 16 and older, subject to approvals.

Preclinical work in FSHD

In the FLEX DUX4 model of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, or FSHD, the release reports a significant enhancement of muscle strength over 12 weeks of dosing. These are preclinical results, and the release gives no clinical plan for FSHD.

What the release leaves open

The release gives no placebo comparison for TRAILHEAD and no explanation for the FVC decline in the one patient. It names no underwriter for the February offering, and it gives no cash balance after the $57.2 million was received. The cash runway through 2027 is the company's own expectation, and top-line BASECAMP data are not due until the fourth quarter of 2026.
