The placement

Regentis Biomaterials Ltd. reported its results for the six months ended June 30, 2026 in a Form 6-K filed September 11, 2026. The release says the company completed a private placement in June 2026 with aggregate gross proceeds of about $6.5 million. It names neither the investors in that placement nor any placement agent, and it does not say how the proceeds were divided between debt repayment and operations.

The company says cash and cash equivalents were about $9.0 million at June 30, 2026. It also says net cash used in operating activities was about $2.8 million in the first six months of 2026. As of June 30, 2026, the company says it had repaid its debt entirely.

The loss

The net loss for the first half of 2026 was about $2.6 million, or $0.44 per share. The first half of 2025 showed a loss of about $3.2 million, or $1.17 per share. The company said the improvement mainly reflected a significant reduction in finance expenses. That was partly offset by higher research and development and general and administrative costs.

Research and development expenses were about $1.2 million, against $180,000 a year earlier. The company ties the increase mainly to the pivotal clinical study, including personnel, production and materials, and outsourced services. General and administrative expenses were also about $1.2 million, against $259,000. The company ties that rise to personnel costs and to operating as a public company after its December 2025 initial public offering.

The operating loss was about $2.4 million, against $439,000 in the first half of 2025.

The pivotal trial

Regentis said it had treated 43 patients in the U.S. pivotal trial of GelrinC. The trial's target is 80 patients. The September release now expects full enrollment of 80 patients on or around the end of 2026, against an earlier expectation of the third quarter.

The company says the timing reflects the practical pace of site activation and patient recruitment in the United States and Europe.

The European plans

The company added clinical sites in Italy, Germany, Serbia, Slovenia and Romania. It says it is preparing commercialization in Europe, with physician engagement and surgeon training through a growing network of centers. It also says that in July it received regulatory approval from the European Notified Body for a new solvent-free manufacturing process. The company says that process raises production yield by 400%.

The annual report on Form 20-F for 2025 said the company had no strategic partners in place in Europe. The September release does not name a commercial partner.

The patents and the data

The company says the Japan Patent Office issued a Notice of Allowance for a patent application covering the solvent-free technology used to make GelrinC. It also points to two years of MRI follow-up showing layered cartilage architecture comparable to native hyaline cartilage, and to a Cartilage journal publication using MOCART scoring. The release describes the MRI data as showing native-like regeneration. The MOCART results come from the GelrinC Phase II study. These are the company's own readings, and the release does not compare them with other treatments.

The cash question

The balance at June 30, 2026 is about $9.0 million, against net cash used in operations of about $2.8 million for the half. The release does not give a runway in months, and it does not say whether the company expects to raise more money before the trial's enrollment closes.

What comes next

The next milestone the company names is full enrollment of the U.S. pivotal trial, at about year end 2026. The company also expects further European commercial preparation. The release gives no date for pivotal data, no runway figure and no timetable for a commercial partner.
