Oncotelic Therapeutics, Inc. told the SEC that it will not file its annual report on Form 10-K for the period ended December 31, 2024 on time.

The company filed a Form 12b-25, the notice used when a periodic report will be late. For an annual report, the notice gives a company up to the fifteenth calendar day after the due date to file.

In the notice, Oncotelic said it is working on, and unable to compile, the necessary financial information required to prepare a complete filing. It said it would be unable to file the annual report in a timely manner without unreasonable effort or expense. The company expects to file within the extension period.

Oncotelic checked boxes stating that it has filed all other periodic reports required during the preceding 12 months. It also said it does not anticipate that its earnings statements will show a significant change in results of operations from the prior fiscal year.

The company was formerly named Mateon Therapeutics, Inc.
