NovelStem International Corp. is a holding company whose principal remaining asset is the right to profits from a license held by Yissum Research Development Company, the technology transfer company of the Hebrew University. Its former affiliate NewStem Ltd., an Israeli biotech, was developing a haploid human pluripotent stem cell platform for oncology drug discovery and a personalized diagnostic to detect mutations that may confer resistance to anti-cancer drugs. NewStem holds a CE Mark for its in vitro diagnostic device but has no FDA approved device. NewStem ceased operations in October 2024 and completed its liquidation in October 2025, and the technology reverted to the original licensor. NovelStem retained a financial interest of up to $3,750,000 in any future licensing. In May 2025 NovelStem sold its 50% interest in NetCo Partners, a joint venture that owns the Net Force publishing franchise, to settle a litigation funding liability. The company says it depended entirely on earnings and cash from its investments in NewStem and NetCo.
