Product milestones
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted a second patent covering REZENOPY naloxone hydrochloride nasal spray, 10 mg, which the company says extends intellectual property protection for the product through 2041. It also granted a third patent covering Arbli losartan potassium oral suspension, which the company says extends its expected market exclusivity through 2041.
The company secured formulary coverage for REZENOPY with a large national health plan and expanded its commercial team. It also expanded Arbli payer coverage and commercial access, adding approximately 12.5 million covered lives. The company commenced the commercial launch of REZENOPY in the quarter and began fulfilling initial purchase orders.
The release describes Arbli as the first and only liquid formulation of losartan on the market that does not require compounding, and as the first and only oral liquid formulation of losartan approved by the U.S. FDA. REZENOPY is an opioid antagonist nasal spray indicated for the emergency treatment of known or suspected opioid overdose.
What the numbers do not show
The percentage gains are measured from very small bases. Second-quarter revenue of $343,639 is still tiny next to about $3.0 million of operating expenses, and the 97.7% gross margin is on that small revenue. The company is still losing money: a net loss of about $2.8 million for the quarter and about $6.2 million for the half, after a net loss of $41.5 million for 2025, when operations used $13.4 million of cash.
The cash figures also differ by definition. The release's $11.2 million includes restricted cash, while XBRL cash and cash equivalents were $8.2 million at June 30, 2026, and the release does not say how cash rose from $6.7 million at year-end 2025 or what restricted cash is held. REZENOPY launched only in the quarter, with initial purchase orders being filled. Co-CEO Narasimhan Mani, who is also interim chief financial officer, said the results reached an important inflection point, and the company's goal is profitability in 2027. Both are the company's own assertions, and the release gives no figures to back the profitability goal.
