PharmaCyte Biotech, Inc. (Nasdaq: PMCB) said it has increased its stake in TNF Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: TNFA) by an additional $3 million.
PharmaCyte said the money is meant to help support TNF's recent license from LightSolver, Ltd. LightSolver makes a processing accelerator that uses light to carry out computations. TNF expects to apply the technology to cryptocurrency mining and blockchain, according to PharmaCyte's press release.
TNF is expected to change its name and ticker symbol to fit the new strategy.
PharmaCyte said it remains well-capitalized, with total assets of over $55 million as of April 30, 2025. The company said it continues to evaluate additional opportunities to expand and diversify its investment portfolio.
Among the risks PharmaCyte listed are TNF's ability to use LightSolver's technology in cryptocurrency applications and whether its own search for "new paths toward shareholder value" succeeds.
The press release is dated September 2, 2025, and PharmaCyte filed it with the SEC on September 5, 2025.
