Mannatech, Incorporated (NASDAQ: MTEX) reported financial results for the second quarter of 2026, the three months ended June 30, 2026, in a release dated August 12, 2026. The Flower Mound, Texas company describes itself as a global health and wellness company. Net sales for the quarter were $26.7 million, an increase of $1.0 million from the same period in 2025. Net income was $1.0 million, or $0.53 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $4.3 million, or $2.27 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2025. The release sets out the results in full, including the balance sheet and the statement of operations.

Quarterly results

On a constant dollar basis, which the company presents as a non-GAAP measure, net sales rose $1.3 million, or 5.1%. Foreign exchange reduced GAAP net sales by $0.3 million compared with the same period in 2025. Gross profit as a percentage of net sales increased to 76.9% from 73.6%.

Selling and administrative expenses fell $1.8 million, or 16.7%, to $9.0 million. As a share of net sales, they dropped to 33.7% from 42.0%. Commissions and incentives were $10,512 thousand, compared with $9,567 thousand a year earlier.

The company reported income from operations of $1.0 million for the quarter, compared with a loss from operations of $1.4 million in the same period of 2025. Income tax expense was $0.2 million, compared with less than $0.1 million a year earlier.

For the six months ended June 30, 2026, net sales were $51,567 thousand, compared with $52,242 thousand in the first half of 2025. Income from operations for the six months was $818 thousand, compared with a loss from operations of $2,276 thousand.

Cash and the balance sheet

Cash and cash equivalents decreased 2.4%, or $0.2 million, to $6.0 million at June 30, 2026, from $6.2 million at December 31, 2025. The balance sheet at June 30, 2026 showed total assets of $27,469 thousand and total liabilities of $32,439 thousand. Total shareholders' deficit was $4,970 thousand, compared with $5,223 thousand at December 31, 2025. Long-term notes payable were $2,750 thousand.

The company's full-year figures in SEC XBRL data show revenue of $108.0 million for the year ended December 31, 2025, against $117.9 million for 2024. The company reported a net loss of $15.2 million for 2025, against net income of $2.5 million for 2024. Operations used $3.0 million of cash in 2025, after providing $2.3 million in 2024. Year-end cash and cash equivalents were $6.2 million at December 31, 2025, against $11.4 million a year earlier. Research and development expense was $800,000 in 2025 and $700,000 in 2024.

Weak spots behind the profit

The quarter turned a profit, but the first half is less flattering. Net sales for the six months ended June 30, 2026 were $51,567 thousand, below the $52,242 thousand of the first half of 2025. Income from operations for the six months was $818 thousand, small against the $15.2 million net loss the company reported for 2025.

The shareholders' deficit of $4,970 thousand remains. Total liabilities of $32,439 thousand exceed total assets of $27,469 thousand. Cash is thin as well: $6.0 million at June 30, 2026, against $11.4 million at the end of 2024, while operations used $3.0 million of cash in 2025.

The customer base is shrinking even as recruiting improves. The release says about 116,000 associate and preferred customer positions were held at June 30, 2026, down from 125,000 a year earlier, though recruiting of new associates and preferred customers rose 33.3%. Commissions and incentives were $10,512 thousand, against $9,567 thousand a year earlier.

Management said changes in tariffs could affect its cost structure and profitability, and that its ability to offset higher costs may be limited by operational and supply chain constraints, especially in the short term. The constant dollar growth figure is a non-GAAP measure; foreign exchange reduced GAAP net sales by $0.3 million.
