HUDSON, MA, and YOKNEAM ILLIT, Israel: Lifeward Ltd. reported on August 14, 2026 that revenue rose 16% to $6.6 million in the second quarter of 2026, compared with $5.7 million in the second quarter of 2025. The company said the quarter was its strongest for revenue since the fourth quarter of 2024. It also reported a net loss of $11.5 million, or $4.12 per share, for the quarter. The results were released in an exhibit to a Form 8-K for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

Revenue and margin

Sales of ReWalk Personal exoskeletons rose 13% to $2.5 million, which the company said primarily reflected stronger sales in Europe. AlterG products and services increased 25% to $4.1 million, primarily reflecting higher U.S. unit shipments, service revenue and average selling prices.

Gross margin was 41% in the second quarter of 2026, compared with 44% a year earlier. The company blamed higher tariffs, exchange rates and a 4% revenue sharing expense tied to the Oramed transaction.

Expenses and losses

Total operating expenses fell 24% to $6.9 million from $9.1 million. The company said the decline was mainly due to $2.8 million of one-time impairment charges in the prior-year period. Excluding those charges, expenses rose, mainly on research and development, including $0.7 million in Oratech clinical trial costs. On a non-GAAP basis, adjusted operating expenses rose 8% to $6.5 million from $6.0 million.

The operating loss declined 37% to $4.2 million from $6.6 million, which the company attributed mainly to the prior-year impairment charges and lower sales, marketing and administrative expenses. The adjusted operating loss was $3.8 million, compared with $3.5 million a year earlier.

The net loss was $11.5 million, or $4.12 per share, compared with $6.6 million, or $7.01 per share, in the second quarter of 2025. The company said the net loss increased by $4.9 million, primarily due to non-cash fair value charges in warrant and derivative liabilities. The adjusted net loss was $4.1 million, compared with $3.5 million.

Liquidity and the July financing

Lifeward had $9.4 million in unrestricted cash and cash equivalents as of June 30, 2026, compared with $2.2 million as of December 31, 2025. The pro forma cash balance is approximately $11 million, including $1.5 million received in July.

The July 6 financing provides up to $11.2 million in growth capital, and the company raised approximately $5.6 million under it, $4.1 million of it in the second quarter and $1.5 million in July. An additional approximately $5.6 million is available upon either a 150% increase in ReWalk sales or the company's common stock trading at $13.80 or higher for ten consecutive trading days.

Commercial and clinical updates

In August 2026, Lifeward launched a pilot program with Ottobock Care, a U.S. patient care organization the release says has more than 50 clinics.

Preparations continue for a planned Phase 2 U.S. trial of ORMD-0801 oral insulin, which Oramed manages using funds from the Oratech acquisition.

Effective August 13, 2026, Chairman Bob Marshall and directors Mike Swinford and William Sigsbee stepped down from the board. The company's chief financial officer, Almog Adar, will depart effective September 30, 2026, and will assist with a transition to his successor.

What the headline leaves out

The annual report shows revenue of $22.0 million for 2025 against $25.7 million for 2024, so the 16% rise follows a decline. The operating loss improved mainly because the prior year carried $2.8 million of one-time impairment charges; the adjusted operating loss widened to $3.8 million from $3.5 million, and the adjusted net loss to $4.1 million from $3.5 million. The reported net loss of $11.5 million was driven by non-cash charges on warrant and derivative liabilities.

The cash rise came from new money, not operations. Half of the July financing's $11.2 million is conditional on a 150% rise in ReWalk sales or the stock trading at $13.80 or higher for ten days. The chairman and two other directors left the board on August 13, and the CFO is leaving on September 30. Chief executive Mark Grant said he expects revenue momentum to continue in the second half of 2026, but the release gives no figures to support that.
