IN8bio, Inc. (Nasdaq: INAB) reported financial results and business highlights for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, in a press release dated August 6, 2026. The release was furnished with an 8-K filing. As of June 30, 2026, the company had cash of $18.0 million, compared with $13.2 million a year earlier. It reported a net loss of $4.8 million, or $0.25 per basic and diluted common share, for the three months ended June 30, 2026, compared with a net loss of $5.1 million, or $1.24 per share, a year earlier.
IN8bio describes itself as a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing gamma-delta (γδ) T cell and γδ T cell engager product candidates. Its pipeline is anchored by INB-600, a novel γδ T cell engager platform. It also advances INB-100, an allogeneic γδ T cell candidate for adult patients with high-risk leukemias, and INB-200/400, an autologous genetically modified γδ T cell candidate for newly diagnosed glioblastoma (GBM).
Second quarter results
Research and development expenses were $2.5 million for the three months ended June 30, 2026, the same as the prior year period. General and administrative expenses were $2.4 million, compared with $2.7 million.
The XBRL data attached to the company's filings lists research and development expense of $10.2 million for fiscal 2025, compared with $17.0 million for fiscal 2024. Net loss was $19.4 million for 2025, against $30.4 million for 2024. Cash from operations was negative $12.7 million for 2025, compared with negative $24.1 million for 2024. Year-end cash and cash equivalents were $27.3 million for 2025 and $11.4 million for 2024.
Glioblastoma and platform updates
The company reported that The Journal of Clinical Oncology published the first peer-reviewed clinical results of DeltEx DRI in newly diagnosed GBM. Among all patients treated, no dose-limiting toxicities, cytokine release syndrome or immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome were observed.
At the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting, IN8bio presented updated data for repeat-dosed patients. Median progression-free survival was 13.0 months, compared with 6.6 months for contemporaneously enrolled patients who received only standard of care. Median overall survival exceeded 19.5 months, compared with 13.2 months for standard of care. About 43% of repeat-dose patients remained alive at 24 months, compared with 20% of standard-of-care patients.
Translational analyses presented at the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy and American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy meetings showed an 18-fold increase in intratumoral CD8+ T cell density and a 90% reduction in immunosuppressive granulocytes.
On the platform, INB-619, a CD19-targeting gamma-delta T cell engager for oncology and autoimmune diseases, is advancing into IND-enabling studies. Preclinical data showed complete B cell depletion, robust gamma-delta T cell expansion and minimal CRS-associated cytokine release, including IL-6 and TNF-α.
What comes next
The company listed its anticipated milestones. Initial preclinical animal data for INB-619 are expected in the second half of 2026. IN8bio also expects to report on FDA discussions about potential regulatory pathways for the DeltEx DRI GBM program, and to give an INB-100 clinical update at a scientific meeting in late 2026. It said it will provide additional clinical and translational updates from the GBM program.
The survival numbers need careful reading. They come from a Phase 1 trial of INB-200, an early study built to test safety. The release gives no patient counts, p-values or confidence intervals for the 13.0 against 6.6 month comparison, and the 6.6 and 13.2 month standard-of-care figures come from patients enrolled at the same time, not from a randomized control arm. The repeat-dose group is also a subset, and patients who live long enough to receive repeat doses can look better for that reason. The overall survival figure is still immature, shown as exceeding 19.5 months. The company has not yet agreed a regulatory path for the glioblastoma program with the FDA. The 10-K's forward-looking statements list the company's ability to mitigate substantial doubt about continuing as a going concern, and cash of $18.0 million at June 30, 2026 compares with $27.3 million at the end of 2025 and a 2025 net loss of $19.4 million. INB-619 has only preclinical data and has not entered the clinic.
