The update

On September 23, 2026, Lokahi Therapeutics issued a strategic corporate update covering its LT-100 development program, the growth of its ai² platform and its priorities for advancing and monetizing therapeutic assets. The update includes a letter from Erik Emerson, Chief Executive Officer of Lokahi Therapeutics and Glucotrack, Inc. (NASDAQ: GCTK). The company's filing describes Lokahi as a capital-efficient biopharmaceutical platform company focused on identifying, evaluating, acquiring and advancing overlooked therapeutic assets.

Emerson said the companies completed their strategic business combination on July 14. He said that the steps needed for the conversion of the Series A convertible preferred stock remain subject to applicable Nasdaq requirements and other conditions. In the structure now in place, Glucotrack Technologies continues to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary focused on its continuous blood glucose monitoring technology. Lokahi remains focused on therapeutic asset development, portfolio expansion and the ai² platform.

LT-100

Emerson said the immediate priority is LT-100, a biologic development program designed for the treatment of osteoarthritis knee pain. A clinical protocol has been submitted for regulatory review, and the company is targeting study initiation in the near term, subject to regulatory feedback and standard development requirements. The planned study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of LT-100 given by subcutaneous injection. It is designed to assess once-weekly subcutaneous administration against the historical regimen of 15 weekly intradermal injections.

The company said it is working with regulators, preparing clinical operations and advancing manufacturing readiness.

The ai² platform

The ai² Pipeline is described as the asset identification and evaluation engine. The company says a network of more than 14 university partners, industry collaborators and structured evaluation processes helps it find opportunities to expand the portfolio. The network applies standard pharmaceutical due diligence to more than 12,000 decommissioned, deprioritized or abandoned late-stage pharmaceutical programs. Undergraduate and graduate participants work alongside Lokahi leadership over an 8 to 10 week period to assess post Phase 1 opportunities.

The company said this approach identified over 45 assets that met its initial screening criteria in the first year, and that it is in preliminary business development discussions on certain of them. ai² Talent works with the student relationships generated through the pipeline, and ai² Accelerator supports emerging technology, data and innovation initiatives. Qare, an early-stage initiative within the Accelerator framework, is one example.

Business model and finances

The company summarized its business model as three steps: discover near-term, value-creating therapeutics; advance them by enhancing process, indication, administration or other elements that can generate near-term value; and monetize assets before completion of registration trials through a range of business development structures.

The annual report for 2025 shows research and development expense of $9.8 million for 2025, compared with $9.5 million for 2024. It reports a net loss of $19.4 million for 2025 and $22.6 million for 2024. Cash used in operations was $15.2 million for 2025 and $12.5 million for 2024.

The risks ahead

The LT-100 study has not started, and the update contains no clinical results for it. A protocol has been submitted for regulatory review, and initiation depends on regulatory feedback and standard development requirements. The company gives no date beyond a near-term target. The comparison it describes is against a historical regimen of 15 weekly intradermal injections, not against a placebo or active control run alongside the new study, and the sources give none of the prior clinical data.

The platform claims are also unproven. Over 45 assets met an initial screening, which is a first filter, and the company describes only preliminary business development discussions on some of them, not agreed deals. Conversion of the Series A convertible preferred stock remains subject to applicable Nasdaq requirements and other conditions. The update says Glucotrack Technologies is funded through the resource allocation in the merger agreement, while the parent's financing allocations go to the Lokahi business. The annual report shows a 2025 net loss of $19.4 million and cash used in operations of $15.2 million. The quarterly report shows cash and cash equivalents of $1.1 million at June 30, 2026.
