The Bayer Group placed bonds with a volume of 5 billion U.S. dollars on Wednesday, according to the company's release dated July 15, 2026. The bonds are issued by its subsidiary Bayer US Finance LLC of St. Louis, United States, and guaranteed by Bayer AG. All five tranches were oversubscribed multiple times, and the release says the placement exclusively targeted institutional investors.

The tranches mature between 5 and 30 years. The expected ratings are Baa2 from Moody's, BBB from S&P and BBB from Fitch. Closing is expected on July 20, 2026. Bayer intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes.

The fixed rates are 5.125 percent on 1.0 billion U.S. dollars maturing in 2031, 5.375 percent on 750 million U.S. dollars maturing in 2033, 5.625 percent on 1.5 billion U.S. dollars maturing in 2036, 6.250 percent on 500 million U.S. dollars maturing in 2046, and 6.375 percent on 1.25 billion U.S. dollars maturing in 2056.

Bayer CFO Dr. Judith Hartmann said: "The strong oversubscription across all tranches underscores continued investor confidence in Bayer." The release names no placement agent or advisor for the bonds.
