Atossa Therapeutics, Inc. said on August 21, 2025, that Nasdaq extended its deadline to regain compliance with the minimum bid price rule by 180 days, to February 17, 2026.
The issue goes back to February 21, 2025. That day, The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC told Atossa it did not meet Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) because its common stock had failed to keep a minimum closing bid price of $1.00 per share for 30 consecutive business days. This is known as a bid-price deficiency. A company in that position has a set period to lift its share price back above the threshold or risk delisting.
Atossa's initial compliance period ended on August 20, 2025. The company then requested an extension. It was informed of the new deadline on August 21, 2025.
The notice has no immediate effect on the listing or trading of the company's common stock on Nasdaq. Atossa said it intends to actively monitor the bid price. It said it is committed to considering available options, "including, if necessary, potentially effectuating a reverse stock split." A reverse split combines existing shares into fewer shares, which raises the price of each one.
The report is available as a Form 8-K.
