Zevra Therapeutics is a commercial-stage company with a late-stage pipeline focused on rare diseases. Its lead product, MIPLYFFA (arimoclomol), is FDA approved for use with miglustat for neurological manifestations of Niemann-Pick disease type C in adult and pediatric patients two years of age and older. It is available through an expanded access program in France, Germany and other EU member states and in select territories outside Europe, and a marketing authorization application for it is under review by the European Medicines Agency. OLPRUVA (sodium phenylbutyrate) for oral suspension is commercially available in the United States for certain urea cycle disorders. Zevra acquired Acer Therapeutics in November 2023, which brought in celiprolol for vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in patients with a confirmed type III collagen (COL3A1) mutation. Celiprolol is in a Phase 3 trial called DiSCOVER. The company is also developing KP1077, a serdexmethylphenidate candidate, for idiopathic hypersomnia and narcolepsy. AZSTARYS, developed on Zevra's Ligand Activated Technology platform, is FDA approved and partnered, and Zevra receives royalties and milestones on its net sales. The company plans to expand its pipeline through inorganic growth.
