Emmaus Life Sciences, Inc. is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development, marketing and sale of treatments primarily for rare and orphan diseases. Its only product, Endari, is a prescription grade L-glutamine oral powder that the FDA has approved to reduce the acute complications of sickle cell disease in adult and pediatric patients five years of age and older. Endari is also approved in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, and an application in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is pending. Endari is sold in the US through nonexclusive distributors and in the Middle East and North Africa region through exclusive local distributors. In December 2025 the company entered a License and Exclusive Distribution Agreement with NeoImmuneTech, Inc. covering Endari in sickle cell disease in the US, its territories and Canada. That license becomes effective only when NIT obtains the necessary regulatory approvals and licensing. Endari is reimbursable by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
