Q32 Bio Inc. reported financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, in a release dated August 5, 2026, and gave a corporate update. The company reported a net loss of $8.9 million, or $0.44 per basic and diluted share, for the quarter. Cash and cash equivalents were $106.3 million at June 30, 2026, which excludes proceeds from a public offering completed in July 2026.

## Clinical update

Q32 Bio described as positive the 36-week topline results from Part B of its SIGNAL-AA Phase 2a clinical trial of bempikibart, a fully human anti-IL-7Rα antibody. The trial is open-label, has no placebo group, and enrolled 33 patients with severe or very severe alopecia areata. The mean percent reduction in SALT score from baseline was 35.3% in the prespecified modified intent-to-treat analysis. In that analysis, 40.0% of patients achieved a SALT-20 response at Week 36, and 30.3% did so in the intent-to-treat analysis of all enrolled patients, which means most enrolled patients did not reach that mark. The release gives no p-values.

The company said bempikibart was generally well tolerated, consistent with prior studies, with no new safety signals. It also reported a favorable pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and anti-drug antibody profile.

Chief Executive Officer Jodie Morrison said the company believes its data has set the bar for a biologic in alopecia areata, a claim that rests on a small uncontrolled study. The company said it will present additional details from the 36-week results and initial findings from the 52-week results at a medical meeting in the second half of 2026.

Patient enrollment and dosing in the Part B open-label extension remain ongoing. Q32 Bio anticipates data from the Part B extension in the second half of 2027. It plans to start a registration-directed program in patients with severe or very severe alopecia areata in the first half of 2027, subject to planned regulatory discussions later this year. The company is also evaluating expanded populations and other indications.

Separately, its half-life extended antibody, ADX-914-XL, remains in pre-clinical development.

## Financial results and runway

Research and development expenses were $4.3 million for the three months ended June 30, 2026, compared with $5.2 million a year earlier. The company attributed the decrease to lower ADX-097 spending after that program was sold in November 2025.

General and administrative expenses were $4.9 million, compared with $4.0 million a year earlier. The company said the increase was primarily due to higher stock-based compensation and other expenses. The net loss was $8.9 million, compared with $9.5 million, or $0.78 per share, in the second quarter of 2025.

In July 2026, Q32 Bio completed a public offering of common stock and pre-funded warrants with gross proceeds of approximately $200.0 million, before underwriting discounts, commissions and offering expenses. The company believes its cash at June 30, 2026, combined with the offering proceeds, is sufficient to fund operations through topline Phase 3 results from its planned program. That is management's belief, and the offering adds new shares and pre-funded warrants for existing holders to absorb. A Phase 3 program has not begun, and the regulatory discussions it depends on are still ahead.

## Background from the annual report

For 2025, Q32 Bio reported revenue of $53.7 million, compared with no revenue in 2024. Research and development expense was $19.2 million in 2025 and $48.1 million in 2024. The company reported net income of $29.8 million for 2025, against a net loss of $47.7 million for 2024; the quarterly losses show the business is still spending more than it earns. Cash used in operations was $33.5 million in 2025 and $67.7 million in 2024.
