MiNK Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: [INKT](https://aibio.space/companies/mink-therapeutics/)) reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, in a release furnished with a Form 8-K on August 13, 2026. The New York company develops off-the-shelf allogeneic invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cell therapies for cancer and immune disorders. The release said the quarter marked the company's move from single-arm clinical experience to randomized clinical validation, with lead candidate agenT-797 at the center of the update.

## The randomized trial in lung injury

MiNK dosed its first patient in randomized Phase 2 trial C-1300-02 within days of Ministry of Health authorization in Ukraine, and dosing began in May 2026. The study compares agenT-797 plus standard of care with placebo plus standard of care in adults with acute lung injury and moderate-to-severe hypoxemic respiratory failure who meet Global ARDS Definition criteria. Dosing is taking place at First Lviv Territorial Medical Union in Lviv, Ukraine, in collaboration with UNBROKEN Ukraine. The study is being conducted under an active U.S. IND.

Dr. Terese C. Hammond, M.D., Head of Inflammatory and Pulmonary Diseases at MiNK, presented initial Day 28 observations at the Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS). The release said the initial agenT-797 treated patients were alive and afebrile at Day 28, with improved oxygenation and liberation from ventilator and vasopressor support. Microbiologic findings indicated control of baseline infections. No major serious adverse events were attributed to agenT-797 in these patients.

Jennifer Buell, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, said: "This quarter reflects the transition of our iNKT platform from scientific thesis to clinical execution." The release calls the Day 28 results initial observations, and enrollment continues in Lviv.

## Named-patient access in Brazil

MiNK said it established its first paid international named-patient access program. It works with Orphan Drug Consulting (ODC) as its local partner for per-patient regulatory submissions, importation, cold-chain handling and adverse event reporting. Each request is initiated by the treating physician for an individually identified patient and remains subject to case-by-case Brazilian regulatory authorization. Product will be supplied on a paid, per-patient basis. The release says the program is not a commercial launch or a marketing authorization, and that MiNK does not identify, recruit, solicit or select patients.

## Translational data

Data presented at the American Thoracic Society International Conference, and published at the same time in Clinical Immunology Communications, showed pathogen suppression, lung immune restoration and activation of tissue-repair pathways after administration of agenT-797 and N-803 (Anktiva), an FDA-approved IL-15 superagonist, in Coccidioides infection. At the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy meeting in May 2026, MiNK presented evidence that a single off-the-shelf iNKT product from the same donor batch produced context-dependent immune activity.

## Financial results

Cash and cash equivalents were $8.8 million as of June 30, 2026, compared with $9.5 million as of March 31, 2026, and $13.4 million as of December 31, 2025. The net loss for the second quarter of 2026 was $3.1 million, or $0.62 per share, compared with $4.2 million, or $1.06 per share, for the second quarter of 2025. For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the net loss was $5.9 million, or $1.20 per share, compared with $7.0 million, or $1.76 per share, for the same period in 2025.

The annual report for 2025, filed March 31, 2026, showed research and development expense of $5.8 million for 2025 and $6.3 million for 2024. The net loss was $12.5 million for 2025 and $10.8 million for 2024, and operating activities used $5.9 million of cash in 2025.

## The risks ahead

MiNK's cash fell from $13.4 million at the end of 2025 to $8.8 million at June 30, 2026, and the release does not say how long that lasts or where more money would come from. The lung injury data so far are initial Day 28 observations from the first treated patients, not a result of the randomized comparison. Additional data are expected in early 2027, the release says, and U.S. centers are still being activated. The Brazil program is not a commercial launch and needs case-by-case regulatory authorization. MiNK describes itself as a clinical-stage company.
