Inhibrx Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: [INBX](https://aibio.space/companies/inhibrx-biosciences/)) said on July 16, 2026 that it entered into a Second Amendment to its Loan and Security Agreement with Oxford Finance LLC and certain affiliates, which the release calls the Lenders. The amendment expands the facility to an aggregate principal amount of up to $500.0 million. Before the amendment, the company had drawn $175.0 million under the facility.

## The new tranche and the warrants

The Second Amendment adds a tranche of up to $325.0 million in gross proceeds. Of that tranche, $100.0 million was funded at signing as the Term C Loan. Up to $225.0 million more may be funded as a Term D Loan, in increments of $50.0 million or more, at the company's request and at the Lenders' sole discretion. The Term D draws are therefore not assured, and the release does not say when, or whether, they will happen.

In connection with the Term C Loan, the company issued the Lenders warrants to buy 21,457 shares of common stock at a strike price of $93.21 per share. The release says the warrant coverage equals 2% of the value of the Term C Loan. The warrants are immediately exercisable and expire 10 years from issuance. The release does not give the share count outstanding, so the dilution cannot be measured from it.

The release names no placement agent or advisor for the amendment. Its investor contact is Kelly Deck, the chief financial officer.

## What the company says the money is for

Deck said in the release that the company was "pleased to expand our partnership with Oxford", which reflects Oxford's "continued confidence in our clinical pipeline". The company said the capital lets it keep full momentum on ozekibart (INBRX-109) and INBRX-106, its two clinical-stage programs.

The release does not give the interest rate, maturity or collateral terms for the Term C and Term D loans. Without those terms, the cost of the new money cannot be judged from the release alone.

## The business and the Sanofi transaction

Inhibrx Biosciences describes itself as a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with a pipeline of novel biologic candidates built on protein engineering platforms. Its annual report for 2025, filed March 19, 2026, says a May 2024 spin-off and merger moved the INBRX-101 program for alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency to Sanofi. The company says it acquired the assets and infrastructure for ozekibart and INBRX-106, a discovery pipeline, and the close-out obligations for the terminated INBRX-105 program.

The annual report says positive data from the INBRX-101 registrational program, now held by Sanofi, were read out in October 2025. The same month, the company announced positive data from its ozekibart registration-enabling trial in advanced or metastatic, unresectable chondrosarcoma. The July 16 release gives no response rates or other figures for either result. The annual report says both ozekibart and INBRX-106 have key data or milestone events expected in 2026.

## Losses and cash burn

The annual report shows research and development expense of $113.0 million in 2025, down from $203.7 million in 2024. The company reported a net loss of $140.1 million in 2025. It reported net income of $1.69 billion for 2024, the year of the Sanofi merger and separation.

Cash used in operations was $129.8 million in 2025, down from $194.4 million in 2024. Revenue was $1.3 million in 2025 and $200,000 in 2024. Cash and cash equivalents were $152.6 million at the end of 2024.

The $100.0 million Term C Loan is smaller than the $129.8 million of cash used in operations in 2025. The larger Term D tranche depends on the lenders' discretion.

## What comes next

The release points to 2026 data readouts for ozekibart and INBRX-106 as the events that matter next. It does not date any Term D draw, and it does not give a schedule for the company's requests. The release's forward-looking section also names the company's need for additional financing as a risk.
