CytomX Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: [CTMX](https://aibio.space/companies/cytomx-therapeutics/)) said in a Form 8-K filed on May 28, 2025 that it has regained compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement and that the matter is now closed. The filing is short. It does not say what moved the share price back above the threshold, and it does not describe any step the company took to get there.

## What the notice required

On February 24, 2025, the staff of Nasdaq's Listing Qualifications Department told the company that its common stock had failed to maintain a minimum bid price of $1.00 per share for the previous 30 consecutive business days. The requirement comes from Nasdaq Listing Rule 5450(a)(1).

On May 27, 2025, the staff wrote that the closing price had been $1.00 per share or greater for the 10 consecutive trading days ended on May 23, 2025. On that basis the staff found the company back in compliance. The common stock trades on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol CTMX. The 8-K is signed by Christopher W. Ogden, the company's senior vice president and chief financial officer.

## What the company is developing

The annual report for 2024, filed on March 6, 2025, calls CytomX a clinical-stage, oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company. Its PROBODY platform builds biologic drugs with protease-cleavable masks. The mask is meant to reduce binding to targets until proteases in the tumor microenvironment remove it, which the company says limits activity in healthy tissue.

The lead program is CX-2051, an investigational, conditionally activated antibody-drug conjugate aimed at EpCAM. The report places it in Phase 1 for advanced metastatic colorectal cancer. The FDA allowed the investigational new drug application to proceed in January of 2024, and the study started in the second quarter of 2024. Dose escalation has reached the seventh dose level.

## What the early data do and do not show

The company says CX-2051 has demonstrated a favorable tolerability profile in dose escalation so far. Tolerability and dose levels are not efficacy data, and the business section reports no response rates for CX-2051 or any other program. The report had said initial CX-2051 data in advanced metastatic colorectal cancer were expected in the first half of 2025. The 8-K does not say whether those data have been released.

CX-801 is a masked version of interferon alpha-2b in Phase 1 for advanced melanoma, given alone and with the PD-1 inhibitor KEYTRUDA. The study is in its fourth monotherapy dose escalation cohort, at a dose above the approved dose of unmasked peginterferon alfa-2b, marketed as SYLATRON. The company itself notes that interferon-based systemic therapies "have been limited in their utilization due to systemic toxicities." The report expected initial Phase 1a translational data in the second half of 2025.

The report describes CX-904, a conditionally activated T-cell engager against EGFR and CD3, in the past tense. It says CX-904 was being developed in Phase 1 dose escalation under a global co-development alliance with Amgen. The company lists research collaborations with Amgen, Astellas, Bristol Myers Squibb, Moderna and Regeneron, and says most of those programs focus on T-cell engagers.

## What the filings leave out

Neither the 8-K nor the business section gives the company's cash, its net loss or an estimate of how long its cash will last. That leaves the regained listing without a financial context in these documents. A company with a Phase 1 lead asset and no reported efficacy data has to fund that work somehow, and the filing does not say how.

The next dated items are the ones the report already gave: initial CX-2051 data in the first half of 2025 and CX-801 translational data in the second half of 2025. The 8-K does not mention either one, and it does not give a new date for either.
