Allogene Therapeutics, Inc. reported first-quarter 2026 results on May 13, 2026. The company ended March 31 with $266.9 million in cash, cash equivalents and investments. The release says an April public offering added gross proceeds of $200.4 million, before underwriting discounts, commissions and estimated offering expenses, and extended the cash runway into the first quarter of 2029. The release does not name the underwriters or any other bank on that offering.

## The cash and the losses

For the first quarter, research and development expenses were $32.0 million, including $2.7 million of non-cash stock-based compensation. General and administrative expenses were $14.1 million, including $5.6 million of non-cash stock-based compensation. The net loss was $42.6 million, or $0.18 a share, including $8.3 million of non-cash stock-based compensation.

The company raised its 2026 guidance. The release says it is modestly increasing operating cash expense "from approximately $150 million to $165 million" and GAAP operating expenses "from approximately $210 million to $225 million," the latter including roughly $35 million of non-cash stock-based compensation. It says the change reflects the forecast timing of the ALPHA3 program.

The 10-K filed March 12, 2026 shows no meaningful revenue, with $0 in 2025 against $22,000 in 2024. Research and development expense was $150.2 million in 2025 and $192.3 million in 2024. The net loss was $190.9 million in 2025 and $257.6 million in 2024. Cash used in operations was $149.2 million in 2025 and $200.3 million in 2024. Year-end 2024 cash and cash equivalents were $75.2 million, with short-term investments of $217.3 million.

## The ALPHA3 data

The lead program, cemacabtagene ansegedleucel, or cema-cel, is being tested in the pivotal, randomized Phase 2 ALPHA3 trial in first-line large B-cell lymphoma. In April the company reported data from a planned interim futility analysis. Of patients in the cema-cel arm, 58.3% (7/12) achieved minimal residual disease clearance, against 16.7% (2/12) in the observation arm. The company describes that as a 41.6% absolute difference, and says published literature suggests differences of 25% to 30% may lead to clinically meaningful improvement at study completion.

That is a small base. Each arm had 12 patients at the data cutoff, and the analysis was a futility check, not a test of benefit. The release reports no event-free survival results. It expects an interim event-free survival analysis in mid-2027 and the primary analysis in mid-2028, and says a positive result could support a Biologics License Application.

The company says cema-cel was well tolerated, with no treatment-related serious adverse events, no cases of cytokine release syndrome, immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome or graft-versus-host disease, and no treatment-related hospitalizations. The release does not break the safety data down by arm. It also reports that circulating tumor DNA fell by a median of 97.7% from baseline at Day 45 in the cema-cel arm, against a median increase of 26.6% in the observation arm.

The trial is expected to enroll about 220 patients, with enrollment complete by the end of 2027, and is powered to detect a 50% reduction in the risk of event-free survival events. It is enrolling at more than 60 sites in North America.

## ALLO-329 and the rest of the pipeline

ALLO-329 is a dual-targeted CD19 and CD70 product in a Phase 1 autoimmune trial called RESOLUTION. Nine patients have been treated: six across dose level 1 (20 million cells) and dose level 2 (40 million cells) after cyclophosphamide lymphodepletion, and three at dose level 1 with no lymphodepletion. The company says early doses show signs of clinical activity and favorable tolerability, but the release gives no efficacy figures.

The company says other CAR T autoimmune trials use from about 100 million cells to more than 1 billion, so these doses sit well below that range while the trial is still in dose escalation.

## What comes next

The company expects its next ALLO-329 update in the fourth quarter of 2026, and an interim event-free survival analysis for ALPHA3 in mid-2027. The 2026 cash guidance assumes the current program timing, and the chief executive says the April capital leaves the company well positioned for its clinical programs and key milestones. The release gives no timeline for the next financing if those milestones slip.
